About the stunt dog titles

Stunt Dog titles are awarded through live ring trials.
It is a structured layout where every competitor follows the same 9 exercises (except for the Champion level, which allows creativity). 

Due to Covid restrictions we are currently holding virtual trials via facebook and zoom.

You will need to gain each title in order however you can apply for multiple
titles at the same time if you meet the requirements for the level above.

Novice

6ft, 5 sec stay
2ft stay whilst circle dog
1 trick on pedestal 
10ft send to pedestal
6ft, 5 sec send to target mark
4 hoop interactions
​entrance and exit on lead

Open

Must have gained the Novice Title.
6ft, 15 sec stay
6ft stay whilst circle dog
2 tricks on pedestal 
ring fence send to pedestal
10ft, 10 sec send to target mark
4 hoop interactions
​2 tricks on the floor
​entrance and exit on lead

Proven

Must have gained the Open Title.
10ft stay whilst circle dog
3 tricks on pedestal 
1 trick, 6ft away on pedestal
1 trick, 6ft away on target
4 hoop interactions
​3 tricks on the floor, 1 with prop
​entrance and exit off lead

Professional

Must have gained the Professional Title.
Send to pedestal from ring fence
ring fence distance stay whilst circle dog
4 tricks on pedestal 
4 tricks, 12ft away on pedestal
3 tricks, 6ft away on target
4 hoop interactions
​3 tricks on the floor, 1 with prop
3 tricks with silent cues
​entrance and exit off lead with 2 tricks

Champion

Must have gained the Professional Title.
4-7 minute routine of your choice
Required Elements:
1. Perimeter Circle Entrance (off-lead) and Mount Pedestal
2. Perimeter Circle Exit
3. Intro to the audience (on Pedi)
4. Distance work
5. Behavior Chain
The performance must utilize these props:
1. Pedestal
2. Target Mark
3. Hoop

Grand Champion

Perform your Champion routine 6 times with a passing score for different judges.
